Privacy
Aftaris Vector is run by Aftermath Ltd, Malta (company C110654). This page explains what happens to your images and data.
Your image
- Tracing (turning your image into a vector) runs in your own browser. The image does not need to leave your device for that.
- To suggest settings and read any text, a reduced copy of the image (at most 1280 pixels) is sent once to Aftaris, our own AI. It is processed and not stored.
- We keep your image only if you tick Help improve Aftaris. It is then re-encoded (which removes hidden data such as location), stored on our servers for at most 12 months, never shared or sold, and reviewed by our team before it is used to improve the quality of Aftaris. You get a reference code; quote it to have the image deleted earlier.
- Only upload images you have the right to use.
Usage data
To make the default settings better for everyone, we record anonymous numbers about each job: image size and type, how many colours were found, the settings you chose, how long tracing took, whether you exported, and corrections you made to text that Aftaris read. We do not store your IP address; a hashed value that changes every day is used only to prevent abuse.
